Just a month ago, the Detroit Lions were the darlings of the NFL. They were 5-0 with three road wins and two ridiculous comebacks. Flash forward to now and they're 6-3. They have faced allegations of taunting injured Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan like a punk, Ndamukong Suh has gained notoriety for being dirty and they have been told to "shut up". At Wednesday's practice, wide receivers coach led a huddle and voiced his opinion of what the team should think of the fans that are hopping off the bandwagon, the media who no longer think the Lions are playoff-worthy and anyone else who doesn't believe. At the end of the gathering, Jefferson led a "Expletive them" chant. The players loved it. Quarterback Matthew Stafford said that the breakdown wasn't pointed at anyone in particular (but Warren Sapp was most likely included). "It was just a general statement.
