According to the Detroit Free Press’ Dave Birkett, the Detroit Lions have signed free agent guard Leroy Harris. Harris was drafted in the fourth round of the 2007 draft by the Tennessee Titans. He started on Tennessee’s line for most of the last three seasons. The soon-to-be 29-year-old worked out for the Lions two weeks ago before signing a deal Monday. This signing adds a veteran presence to the interior of Detroit’s offensive line, but does little to solve the issues at the tackle spots. This move likely signifies the move of former first round selection Riley Reiff to the starting left tackle spot, while a position battle for the right tackle position will be held between Jason Fox and Corey Hilliard. Lions Sign Guard Jake Scott, Receiver Micheal Spurlock

A day after signing offensive guard Leroy Harris, the Detroit Lions add another veteran guard – Jake Scott. As first reported by Tim Twentyman on Twitter, Scott signed a one-year deal with the Lions Tuesday morning. The move makes the interior of the Lions offensive line even more crowded as the organization continues to stockpile bodies. Detroit also signed wide receiver/kick...

Suh breaks driver in golf tournament

Ndamukong Suh has a knack for keeping things interesting. The muscleman of the Detroit Lions was a little too strong for his Ping driver during Hall of Famer Charlie Sanders' golf outing Monday in West Bloomfield, Mich. Suh's club head completely snapped off on one of his tee shots (now the golf club knows how NFL quarterbacks must feel). Asked by Jennifer Hammond, a sports...

Munchak stoking competition for Titans in OTAs

Michael Roos remains Tennessee's left tackle, and Jake Locker doesn't have to compete just to keep his starting job at quarterback. Chris Johnson also is safe along with a handful of veterans, especially those free agents the Titans brought in earlier this year. Everyone else? Well, coach Mike Munchak has made it clear that depth charts now are only a guide for practice...

Reggie Bush Doesn’t Think Detroit Lions Are ‘Far at All’ From Winning Super Bowl

The Detroit Lions have never won the Super Bowl and are also coming off an abysmal 4-12 campaign last season, but that hasn’t stopped their players from expecting big things. Less than one month after defensive tackle Nick Fairley predicted a Super Bowl appearance from the Lions, new running back Reggie Bush, who won a title with the New Orleans Saints three seasons ago, went a...

Mike Munchak working with the Titans' offensive line

Titans head coach Mike Munchak is heading into a do-or-die season with the Tennessee Titans. After last season's 6-10 finish, the Titans' top coach needs to put together a solid year, likely one that results in a playoff birth, to keep his job beyond the end of the 2013 season. With so much on the line, it actually makes sense that Munchak is working more with the offensive...
