The Detroit Lions have appreciated the support from their passionate fan base.

This week, several players have expressed the outpouring of support in the playoffs has exceeded even their own initial expectations.

Ford Field hit a decibel level of 133.6 against the Rams, making it the fourth loudest stadium noise level in NFL history.

For rookie wideout Jameson Williams, the crowd chanting for Jared Goff was a memorable moment.

"That was turnt," Williams told reporters. "They was doing that all game. They need to do it again this week. Everybody, everybody. Whoever gets the ball, I just need y’all to yell their name."

Detroit's speedy wideout wants the crowd Sunday afternoon to chant Goff's name and repeatedly once again.

“The City is giving us a boost, how excited everybody is in the city," said Williams after practice Thursday. "They making us feel like, sh*t, we done already won the Super Bowl just from winning one game for them. They take it to the max.”

Offensive coordinator Ben Johnson expressed the 29-year-old veteran signal-caller has improved the most in the past three years with situational awareness and knowledge of protection.

"I always think his situational football and his knowledge of the protection has really taken the next jump. He’s been excellent at throwing the football. That hasn’t changed," said Johnson. "That’s been from day one since he got in the League. Been an excellent play-action movement quarterback.

"I think his drop back game, both from a protection standpoint where he can identify pressures and slide the protection into him, and then his understanding of the situation," Johnson explained further. "He’s grown immensely from (Lions Head) Coach (Dan) Campbell’s installation of how we like to learn our game management stuff. And now he’s at a spot here, year three, where he can handle almost anything.”
