A busy day of free-agent signings for the Detroit Lions continued Thursday with the addition of free safety Glover Quin.
The team announced that Quin will be leaving the Houston Texans for a five-year contract with the Lions.
Quin, 27, started every game for Houston the past three seasons. He finished with 84 tackles, 14 passes defensed and two interceptions for the Texans in 2012.
Quin is expected to take the starting spot of Louis Delmas, whose free-agent departure is considered imminent.
The Lions also added two free agents -- running back Reggie Bush (Miami) and defensive lineman Jason Jones (Seattle) - as well as re-signed cornerback Chris Houston earlier in the day.

Due to his experience in many different roles -- man-to-man coverage, deep zone and blitzing -- the Lions felt Glover Quin had the multi-dimensional characteristics they need at the safety position.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Lions have reached agreement with former Texans S Glover Quin.
Schefter reported earlier in the day that the Lions wanted to hammer out contract with Glover, Reggie Bush, and Jason Jones and they’ve managed to accomplish this in a matter of a few hours.
They also re-signed CB Chris Houston as well. Detroit’s secondary was in desperate need...
