It has been a rough several weeks for former Pittsburgh Steelers tackle Jonathan Scott and on Thursday he became a free agent once again after he was released from injured reserve by the Detroit Lions, according to Adam Caplan on Twitter.
Scott was released by the Steelers prior to the start of training camp after veteran Max Starks was resigned. Scott was signed by the Lions but was placed on their non-football injury list initially after he failed his conditioning test.

Veteran offensive lineman Trai Essex and punter Jeremy Kapinos were among the 21 players cut by the Steelers Friday as the team settled on a 53-man roster.
