Dave Birkett reports that the Detroit Lions will release G Stephen Peterman on Tuesday. Peterman, 31, has started every game at guard for the last three seasons. He had a base salary of $2.65 million, so this will free up some much needed cash for their offseason plans. According to Pro Football Focus, Peterman allowed the most combined sacks, hits and hurries of any guard in the league this season. There’s no question that the Lions will continue to address their offensive line in the coming months. The post Lions Release G Stephen Peterman appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.

Report: Lions release Titus Young

According to Tim Twentyman of DetroitLions.com, the Lions have released disgruntled wide receiver Titus Young. Young’s behavior and attitude last season put the franchise in a bad position – one that ultimately led to today’s decision. It started last spring when Young allegedly punched teammate Louis Delmas, which resulted in Young leaving the team for a short time. He was...

Titus Young thinks he’s better than Calvin Johnson

Ladies and gentlemen, I have heard it all.  According to Titus Young, the Lions cut the best wide receiver in the NFL yesterday.  And no, Calvin Johnson was not given his walking papers. You see, Titus Young thinks he’s better than Megatron.  The guy that was sent home three times within a seven-month span after sucking-punching teammate Louis Delmas in practice, lining up incorrectly...

Video blog: Coach Kyle Vanden Bosch?

Titus Young Thinks He’s Better Than Calvin Johnson

Dippy receiver of note, Titus Young, was released by the Lions on Monday after a year of starting fights with his teammates and lashing out at his coaches on Twitter. It just wouldn’t be fair that he would be cast off without saying one more dumb thing, so take it away, Titus: E.C. Robinson, Young’s high school coach, said Young came to his house on Christmas and the two talked...

Young made waves last season when he sabotaged the passing game during...

Kyle Vanden Bosch Still Plans to Invite Lions Coaching Staff to Wedding Even After Release

Sometimes business can get personal, especially in the sports world. However, not all athletes take such an emotional approach to the business side of the game. Kyle Vanden Bosch has learned to separate those two facets of his life, even when it comes to something as emotional as his own wedding. When the Detroit Lions released Vanden Bosch on Wednesday, the three-time Pro Bowler...

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Rams have claimed former Detroit Lions wide receiver Titus Young off waivers, a team source confirmed on Tuesday afternoon. The news, first reported by Jason La Confora of CBSSports.com, reunites Young with former Boise State teammate Austin Pettis. Bye Bye, Titus Young!

Follow Me @PhiLthyMcNasty_ Titus Young, the latest player to test the patience of an NFL team and exploit the dangers of having a young firecracker on your roster. He’s the poster child for the term “character risk.” Starting with his collegiate days at Boise State, Young has never been short of words…or actions for that matter.  He was suspended for the majority of his...

Rams claim Titus Young: the hidden risks of a "no-risk" move

The St Louis Rams took a chance that no other team in the NFL was willing to, putting in a waiver claim on Titus Young. Young had been released by the Detroit Lions earlier this week for all kinds of conduct detrimental to his team, which raises a huge question: why would Jeff Fisher take in a player that his protege, Jim Schwartz, couldn't handle?  The pat answer is this...

St. Louis Rams claim WR Titus Young off waivers

It appears that a day after being released by the Detroit Lions, the St. Louis Rams have decided to take a chance with WR Titus Young. There is little doubt about Young’s physical abilities, but there has been a serious question mark raised this year about his mental and personal character issues. The Rams are a team in serious need of wide receivers heading into next season and...
