NFL Trade Rumors:
Dave Birkett reports that the Detroit Lions will release G Stephen Peterman on Tuesday.
Peterman, 31, has started every game at guard for the last three seasons. He had a base salary of $2.65 million, so this will free up some much needed cash for their offseason plans.
According to Pro Football Focus, Peterman allowed the most combined sacks, hits and hurries of any guard in the league this season.
There’s no question that the Lions will continue to address their offensive line in the coming months.

According to Tim Twentyman of DetroitLions.com, the Lions have released disgruntled wide receiver Titus Young.
Young’s behavior and attitude last season put the franchise in a bad position – one that ultimately led to today’s decision. It started last spring when Young allegedly punched teammate Louis Delmas, which resulted in Young leaving the team for a short time.

I feel that there is still a role for Kyle Vanden Bosch with the Detroit Lions -- a position on the coaching staff.
Dippy receiver of note, Titus Young, was released by the Lions on Monday after a year of starting fights with his teammates and lashing out at his coaches on Twitter. It just wouldn’t be fair that he would be cast off without saying one more dumb thing, so take it away, Titus:
E.C. Robinson, Young’s high school coach, said Young came to his house on Christmas and the two talked...

Sometimes business can get personal, especially in the sports world. However, not all athletes take such an emotional approach to the business side of the game.
Kyle Vanden Bosch has learned to separate those two facets of his life, even when it comes to something as emotional as his own wedding. When the Detroit Lions released Vanden Bosch on Wednesday, the three-time Pro Bowler...
The St Louis Rams took a chance that no other team in the NFL was willing to, putting in a waiver claim on Titus Young. Young had been released by the Detroit Lions earlier this week for all kinds of conduct detrimental to his team, which raises a huge question: why would Jeff Fisher take in a player that his protege, Jim Schwartz, couldn't handle?
The pat answer is this...

Titus Young, the latest player to test the patience of an NFL team and exploit the dangers of having a young firecracker on your roster. He’s the poster child for the term “character risk.” Starting with his collegiate days at Boise State, Young has never been short of words…or actions for that matter. He was suspended for the majority of his...
It appears that a day after being released by the Detroit Lions, the St. Louis Rams have decided to take a chance with WR Titus Young. There is little doubt about Young’s physical abilities, but there has been a serious question mark raised this year about his mental and personal character issues. The Rams are a team in serious need of wide receivers heading into next season and...
