Former Lions wide receiver Titus Young’s personal issues and arrest have been front page news for the past month now.  Young has been arrested three times in the past 15 days, and recently has family acknowledged young had some mental health issues. Current Lions linebacker Stephen Tulloch says that he recently was on the same flight from Miami to Detroit with Young, and the two had an interesting and deep conversation according to Tulloch. Tulloch told The Detroit News that during their conversation, Young shared with him his mental disorder, and admitted that “he wants to get cured.” “He’s aware of the situation that he’s dealing with and he showed me a paper and we went over it and I looked over it, and I understand it,” Tulloch told the Detroit Free Press. “A lot of people laugh about it and ke-ke-ke about it, but it’s real. He has head issues, and the Titus Young when he came in as a rookie and the Titus Young now is two different people. “It’s kind of like when you look at him, he’s looking through you. It’s different. You can tell there’s something going on in his mind, in his head, and I hope that he can get help.” “He has a problem,” Tulloch said. “Ain’t no question about it. We had some long discussions and he showed me some things and I was like, ‘All right.’ The fact that before he didn’t realize it, now he realizes it. Young’s problems aren’t new, because he’s been getting into trouble since his early years at Boise State.  Young definitely needs help, now the question is will he seek it out?

Tulloch: Young knows he has disorder

Titus Young, whose three arrests in two weeks raised concern for his mental health, reportedly admitted to a former teammate that he has problems and "wants to get cured." "He's aware of the situation that he's dealing with and he showed me a paper and we went over it and I looked over it, and I understand it," Lions linebacker Stephen Tulloch told the...

Stephen Tulloch Shoots Back at Pro Football Talk’s Criticism of NFL Network’s ‘Top 100′

There have been some odd inclusions on the NFL Network’s annual “Top 100″ players countdown (like Jacoby Jones being on the list at all). Whether or not one of Thursday night’s rankings falls into that category of head-scratchers depends on whom you ask. Detroit Lions linebacker Stephen Tulloch grabbed the No. 63 spot in the top 100, which is voted on by players around the...

Detroit Lions battle shaping up at OLB?

After the Detroit Lions set up Stephen Tulloch, DeAndre Levy and Justin Durant as their starting linebackers two seasons ago, I (and a lot of other observers) never thought that the positions would be a question mark so soon.  The Lions failed to re-sign Durant this off season and while middle linebacker Stephen Tulloch is playing under a long-term deal and DeAndre Levy has a new...
