I would love to see this guy in a Lions Uniform.. However the money it may cost them could be used on 2 or 3 guys. They still need so many more players. I think hey could go after Landry and Carr from the Ravens
The Detroit Lions need a cornerback; that is no secret. They had one of the worst passing defenses in the league last year, and despite having a defensive line that is projected to be one of the best in the coming season, Detroit’s secondary still needs work.
The Lions have been linked to Nnamdi Asomugha, but as time goes on, it appears less and less likely that such a deal will get made. Asomugha may be out of the Lions’ price range, and the team is not expected to make a huge splash in free agency anyway.
The need in the secondary is still glaring, though, so what are they to do? There are some more affordable cornerback options out there, and the Football Outsiders have projected (Note: ESPN Insider account required for full article. Summary can be found on ESPN’s NFC North Blog.) that the best choice for the Lions would be former Bengal Johnathan Joseph.
Joseph had three interceptions for the Bengals last season, he is just 27 years old and some have suggested...
