Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson caught a touchdown pass against the Eagles last week, but it was nullified when the referee ruled Johnson pushed off on cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha.
"There was hardly any contact," Johnson told Chris McCosky of the Detroit News. "I was just feeling where I was at. I went back and watched it on film and I was like, 'Come on, ref.' The crazy thing was, he was looking at me and didn't throw the flag until after the dude (Asomugha) said something."
Johnson was asked what would happen if the NFL had a rule against flopping like the NBA has.
"He would have been fined; that would have been a fine," he said. "I am glad the NBA is starting that rule. That used to tick me off about the NBA, too."
Quarterback Matthew Stafford agreed Asomugha more than sold that call.
"Yeah, I felt like I threw him a touchdown last week when Nnamdi jumped all the way out of the end zone," Stafford said. Source: The Redzone Attached Thumbnails

Bear Breakdown: Analyzing the Lions’ Defense For Week Seven
When a team can put up the sort of offensive numbers that the Detroit Lions can, it is easy to ignore what they do defensively. So far in the 2012 season, the Lions defense is giving up an average of 324 yards of total offense, good enough for ninth best in the league.

For Eagles, time to make wholesale changes starting with Reid
After 14 years, it’s time for the Philadelphia Eagles and Andy Reid and Co. to part ways.
It’s time now. I’ve long supported Andy Reid as a coach. I’ve had my issues with him, but in the end it always came down to who else was out there to take his place. But there are candidates and there also comes a point when change is necessary no matter what. The Eagles are there now...
Lions DT Ndamukong Suh Made First 911 Call After Incident Last Week
It appears Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh did the right thing after all by making the first call to 911 when he was involved in a two-car incident last week on the Southfield Freeway.
Suh called 911 at 6:28 a.m. Oct. 11 after the Range Rover he was driving collided with the 1999 Ford Escort that Stephen Vines, 43, of Livonia was driving. Vines called 911 at 6:29 a...

Key Matchup: Bears’ Offensive Line Against Detroit’s Defensive Line
The Detroit Lions’ defensive line can scare opponents with its power and speed off the line.
In two games in 2011, the Lions sacked Chicago Bears’ quarterback Jay Cutler five times.

The Bears did a solid job at containing defensive end Kyle Vanden...
Bears Face Ideal Trap Game Situation Versus Lions Team With Everything to Lose
The Detroit Lions come into Soldier Field on Monday Night with their backs against the wall in the division race. The way things are shaping early a loss would put the Lions at 2-4 on the season, three games behind the Bears for the division lead.

10 Reasons Not to Give Up on the Eagles Just Yet

The 2012 Philadelphia Eagles season reminds me of two movies: Armageddon and Groundhog Day. This team's problems are a lot of the same things over and over again, which usually leads to disaster in Philadelphia.
The Eagles are 3-3 and in the midst of their bye week. Michael Vick can't stop turning the ball over. The offensive line has...
