Despite speculation that Lions wide receiver Titus Young might be suspended for head-butting an opponent last Sunday, the team has decided he has learned his lesson and will let him play in Sunday's game against the 49ers, the Detroit News reported. Young received a personal foul for head-butting St. Louis Rams cornerback Janoris Jenkins on Sunday, and he was benched at the start of the third quarter as a result. But coaches say he has responded well this week. "He's worked hard, ready to go and contribute and do a great job for us," offensive coordinator Scott Linehan told the News. "We've got great leadership. I think guys understand that, and he's still a young player. He learned just being accountable; that's a great place to start."

Lost in all the fury and discussion about proper handshake decorum was the...

There’s no doubt in my mind that Johnson will be ready to go this week.
On Thursday, a gossip website reported that Lolo Jones and Lions defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh are dating and that Lolo was a special guest at Detroit’s season opener against St. Louis. Jones put the rumor to rest during an interview with ESPN Playbook later in the day and showcased some of her trademark witty sarcasm in the process.
“We are not currently dating,” Jones...
There aren’t many wide receivers that can dominate like Calvin Johnson or Randy Moss. Blessed with ungodly size and speed, you can’t go wrong with either of these pass catchers.According to Nate Burleson, a current Detroit Lions and a one-time teammate of Randy Moss in Minnesota, Megatron is the better of the two.Burleson told Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press: “When...
Jim Harbaugh and Jim Schwartz….Handshake Part II could be really interesting!
Meanwhile, Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions were one of the biggest locks to win in the season opener and they very nearly blew their opportunity at home against the St. Louis Rams.
The Rams do not possess a ton of talent offensively, and...
