Former Broncos wide receiver Brandon Lloyd spoke to San Francisco reporters on a conference call in advance of the upcoming game between Lloyd’s new team, the St. Louis Rams, and the 49ers.
In that call, Lloyd had some interesting comments about the Broncos, his former’s team’s new offense and new quarterback Tim Tebow.
Kyle Orton had been benched and replaced by Tebow at the same time as the Broncos traded Lloyd to St. Louis for a conditional draft pick in mid-October.
According to Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com, Lloyd said he wished the team had started 2011 with clarity at quarterback. Indeed, it was Lloyd who coined the term “The Tebow Thing” during an interview with Sports Illustrated during training camp.
“This is what I was talking about in the summertime when (Kyle) Orton was on the trading block,” Lloyd told the Bay Area reporters. “Hey, trade him now so we can go into the Tebow era. Let’s get it over with and see if he...

Rams Miller creates opportunities on punt return
ST. LOUIS Early in a punt return that produced a memory, journeyman St. Louis Rams wide receiver Nick Miller saw an opportunity. On Sunday, he gathered the ball at the Arizona Cardinals' 12-yard line with a little more than nine minutes left in the first quarter. He started right then cut left, freezing safety Sean Considine enough to sprint toward a coverage wall that began...
Saving Face Is The Wrong Path For These Rams
It’s no secret or understatement to say this is a busted season for the St. Louis Rams. Following up a season that they made huge strides from the cellar of the league to being a game away from the playoffs, the expectations coming into this season were justified in thinking another slight step forward could happen. All of the good parts of the team were back, quarterback Sam Bradford...
Is Tim Tebow getting too much credit?
Certainly in his days at the University of Florida, Denver Broncos QB Tim Tebow was a perennial winner. He would find ways to score, find ways to complete passes despite his unorthodox style, run with purpose, and fight till the end. Tim Tebow is doing the same thing in the NFL in his second season as Coach John Fox’s choice QB, and has his Broncos winning ugly, but winning...

Vaughn suffered the injury while returning a kickoff 36 yards prior to the Broncos’ first possession at San Diego.
“”I broke a tackle and planted to make a cut and it just snapped,” Vaughn said.
He was placed on season-ending...
Tim Tebow’s Pep Talk: “Iron Sharpens Iron”
Tim Tebow just wins. In high school he won. In college he won. Now in the NFL with the Denver Broncos, he continues to win. If a game is within reach, Tim Tebow will reach in and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
Oh, and Tim Tebow can deliver a heck of a pep talk. Before the Broncos latest game, head coach John Fox asked Tim Tebow to speak to the team. Tim Tebow delivered with...

Rams Are Getting An Earful From Their Fans
The way things have been going lately at the Edward Jones Dome, maybe its a good thing the Rams are playing their next two games on the road, because the natives are restless, very, very restless. The St. Louis sports fan has long been known as a patient sort, but that patience has been sorely tested by the trials and tribulations of the Rams. Boos cascaded down from the stands...

DATELINE: HUMOR!
At this time of year many folks love to watch and re-watch the classic movie about a mysterious man who becomes the Santa Claus at Macy’s Department Store.
Some people begin to think he really is Santa Claus, and others begin to think he is a nutcase.
Well, in Denver right now, the scenario is playing out on the bluegrass field at Bronco Stadium. Tim Tebow...
