A near comeback win turned into just another defeat for the Bengals Monday night as they lost 27-21 to Pittsburgh at Paul Brown Stadium. It was the fifth consecutive loss for the Bengals, who drop to 2-6 and are now in sole possession of last place in the AFC North, one game behind Cleveland (3-5). The Steelers and Baltimore are tied for first place at 6-2.  NUGENT MISSES TWICE: The six-point margin of defeat was especially hard on kicker Mike Nugent, who missed field goal attempts of 51 and 45 yards. Nugent had made 12 of 14 attempts coming into the game but was wide left with both of his attempts. He has now missed three of his last four attempts. Two of those have been from 50+ yards but Nugent wasn’t using that as any excuse.
