The Seattle Seahawks could be in the market for a veteran linebacker since David Hawthorne signed with the Saints yesterday.  London Fletcher is still on the market and would be a great fit for the Seahawks.

The current Seahawks linebackers consists of three 2nd year players in Michael Morgan, K.J Wright and Malcom Smith. All three players are talented, but very young and inexperienced.  Fletcher would be able to come in and stabilize this position with his experience.

If Fletcher was OK with signing a one year contract, the Seahawks would be foolish to pass on Fletcher and his ability to mentor such a young group of players.

Saints Nation: Seahawks Blogger's Take on David Hawthorne

Whenever I need the skinny on the Seahawks I go to Chris Sullivan. Pure and simple, he is THE guy for Seahawks knowledge. Put less simply, he's more aware of the inner workings of that organization than Gregg Williams is aware of how to get away with an illegal and morally corrupt motivation scheme. Make sure you check him out on twitter, he's a valuable resource. So naturally...

Seahawks might move Kam Chancellor to linebacker

According to Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.net, the Seattle Seahawks would love to trade 12th overall pick in this year’s draft, so they can move down and take Alabama linebacker Donta Hightower. If the Seahawks can’t move down, they’ll likely take Alabama safety Mark Barron and then move safety Kam Chancellor to outside linebacker. Chancellor has the frame to move to linebacker...

The Seattle Seahawks new uniforms are interesting (Pictures)

Today was the release of Nike's new line of NFL uniforms and to be honest, most of them looked the same from their previous Reebok incarnations. However, the Seattle Seahawks got a new look for their new uniforms and I'm not sure whether I approve of them or want to throw them in the garbage: (Courtesy of Coed Magazine)

Stop Whining About The Seattle Seahawks' New Uniforms

On Tuesday April 3rd the Seattle Seahawks unveiled their new Nike uniforms to the public. The new uniforms focus on the colors dark blue, gray, and neon green. This is a stark contrast to their 2011 uniforms consisting of metallic blue, white, and neon green. Insert sarcastic remark here. For some reason, fans are always opposed to new uniforms. I remember hearing for a good year...

Saints, LB Hawthorne agree to terms on five-year pact

The New Orleans Saints and unrestricted free agent linebacker David Hawthorne agreed to terms on a five-year contract on Tuesday. Financial terms were not disclosed. Hawthorne spent the last four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, collecting 336 tackles, six sacks and seven interceptions. He started 14 games last season and led the club with 115 tackles. Hawthorne also had three...

Lynch Goes Beast Mode On The Big Screen

We all know Marshawn Lynch is a star on the football field, but he’s taken on a new venture over the offseason: acting. Lynch has been cast in the upcoming feature film “Matt’s Chance”, written and directed by Nicholas Gyeney of Mirror Images, Ltd. Lynch isn’t the only famous name you’ll hear from the 90 minute film, though. “Matt’s Chance” also features actors...

The Seahawks Are Uniform Reveal Champions

BEEF MOE LIGHT The NFL media borg has settled in New York to give Nike a day-long commercial for their new NFL uniforms and merchandise. That’s nice; Nike doesn’t get nearly enough presence in the sports world. I only hope they can extend the same courtesy to Gatorade. The biggest news of the day is the dramatic changes made to the Seahawks uniform, which haS gone from ghastly...

New Nike NFL uniforms are pretty much the same (PHOTOS)

After much hype and build-up, the NFL unveiled new uniforms from Nike for all 32 teams today … and aside from the Seattle Seahawks, your favorite team will pretty much look the same next year. (Photo: Nike) There had been some concern among fans that Nike was going to redesign every team’s uniform to look like the Oregon Ducks, but in general the changes are barely perceptible...

Free Agent Fantasy Analysis: Matt Flynn

When the Green Bay Packers drafted Matt Flynn in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL Draft, few believed he would ever be a starting quarterback for an NFL team. However, after four years in Green Bay, learning the west coast offense and sitting behind Aaron Rodgers, Flynn has crafted himself into a starting caliber quarterback and will be given a shot at starting, after signing...

The New Uniforms

Earlier today, the NFL and Nike unveiled the new uniform designs for all 32 teams in the league, and for the most part the changes involved were relatively minor tweaks.  Minor, that is, unless you're the Seattle Seahawks.  As you can see in the two slideshows on Seahawks.com -- one for the uniform and one for the helmet -- there's a whole lot of new stuff to take in here...

David Hawthorne expected to re-sign with the Seahawks

According to 710 ESPN Radio in Seattle, ESPN’s John Clayton indicated that negotiations between the Seattle Seahawks and linebacker David Hawthorne have been “intensifying” and a deal should get done soon. “I would have to think he’s going to probably to come back on a two- or three-year deal,” said Clayton.  “[I] wouldn’t be surprised if they could get something...
