Redskins Blog:
In anticipation of his role in this Sunday’s Pro Bowl, Redskins linebacker London Fletcher has landed in the Honolulu International Airport, where he was greeted by Redskins fans.
He shared pictures and thoughts via his Twitter account (@LFletcher59):
“Aloha! HTTR!” said the first tweet, followed shortly by, “I love the fans!“

This is the third-consecutive Pro Bowl appearance for the Iron Man, following a season in which he led the NFL in tackles. Fletcher is the lone representative for the Redskins this year, with several other players finishing as alternates.
Last year, the Pro Bowl was moved to Miami, Fla. due to contract issues, and to coincide with the Super Bowl. After much consternation, the game was moved back to Hawaii, and will be played in the open NFL weekend between the playoff Championship Weekend and the Super Bowl.
Congratulations London, and hang loose in the Aloha State!

Redskins want to trade up in draft?
There is plenty of talk and speculation that the Redskins will try to move up in the draft to the two spot by trading with the Rams.
Rex Grossman: Redskins Were a Damn Good 5-11, You Didn’t Want to Play Us
We love you, Rex Grossman. We really do. We admire the fact that you can go from starter, to backup, to starter, to Super Bowl, to backup, to starter, to backup, to kind of starter and just take it like a man. Mike Shanahan has not exactly given Grossman a long leash since he named him the starter in favor of Donovan McNabb last season. Somehow, Rex has kept on ticking....
Doc’s Orders: Scouting The Senior Bowl
via NFL Network
In 2011, the Redskins joined most coaching staffs in Mobile, Ala. to scout the nation’s best four-year collegiate stars. From there, they used six-of-12 draft picks on Senior Bowl participants, including the first three in a row. This was more than any other team in the NFL.
Here’s the graphic on the six, as seen this afternoon on the NFL Network&...
Hilliard Brings ‘Selfless’ Label To Coaching
AP Image
Yesterday evening, the Redskins announced that long-time Giants and Buccaneers receiver Isaac “Ike” Hilliard would be taking over the reins at wide receivers coach on the staff.
Now, we can finally ‘Like Ike.’
Hilliard was a first round (7th overall) pick by the Giants in 1997. Over the course of his career, he had 546 receptions for 6,397 yards...
Redskins QB Rex Grossman: “We Were a Pretty Damn Good 5-11 Team”
Ladies and gentlemen I present to you Rex Grossman…………
“It’s hard to say this, but we were a pretty damn good 5-11,” said Grossman. “You didn’t really want to play us.”
Day Two From the Senior Bowl: South Practice
Here are my observations from watching the South team practice this afternoon: Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan and his staff sent the South team through their first full-padded practice this afternoon at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. The South squad has arguably the higher graded prospects, with several defensive lineman meriting first round consideration. Defensive...

Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan expects Bob Slowik to make a smooth transition from defensive backs coach to linebackers coach and believes the 18-year veteran can help bolster Washington’s deepest position.

Raheem Morris ‘excited’ to be with Redskins
It doesn’t take long to spot new Washington Redskins defensive backs Raheem Morris on the field down here at this week’s Senior Bowl practices.
While the South team’s defensive backs ran through drills, the 35-year-old Morris barked out instructions almost non-stop. Later, during seven-on-seven drills with defensive backs making plays against receivers, Morris bounded around...

By all means, you should read the entirety of former Redskins beat writer Richard Justice’s chat about the 1991-92 Super Bowl team. It’s filled with great anecdotes and observations about the team then and now.
