DE Elvis Dumervil's new agents Tom Condon and Ben Dogra of CAA, made a formal appeal to the league to uphold the verbal agreement between their client and the Denver Broncos in light of Friday's contract fiasco. Their claim that the verbal agreement should suffice when the formality of sending the final signed contract to the league office didn't happen in time due to a snafu, fell on deaf ears, according to Bill Williamson of ESPN. It was definitley a longshot, but probably something they needed to do anyway. But as they say, rules are rules. Now it's time to move on and find Dumervil a new team. Williamson writes: ' The Denver Post reports that the Baltimore Ravens are currently negotiating with Dumervil. The Broncos want Dumervil back and he wants to return, but there are salary issues. The Denver Post reports the Broncos' first choice to replace Dumervil, 29, if he signs elsewhere will be former Atlanta pass-rusher John Abraham. He was productive last season, but he will turn 35 in May. ' var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
