Sign on San Diego:
Chapman is 75 years young and still walks with a bounce to his step. At 5 feet, 10 inches, 172 pounds with a shock of silver hair, he’s only 12 pounds heavier than in 1961 when he tried out for the Chargers at quarterback.
BEST OF MAXIM
The Chargers have been the punch line to several jokes over the years. Whether it be for choking in the playoffs, drafting Ryan Leaf, or starting the season slower than a 200 pound poodle, the Chargers just never seem to be able to put it all together for an entire season.
This year is no different, yet this year is a new brand of buffoonery.
The 2011 Chargers got out of the blocks...
Offensive linemen Louis Vasquez and Marcus McNeill are inactive for the San Diego Chargers' game against Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos.
Vasquez has an ankle injury and McNeill a neck stinger. Wideout Malcom Floyd remains sidelined with a hip injury.
Also inactive for the Chargers are wide receiver Bryan Walters, cornerback Marcus Gilchrist, guard Tyronne Green and defensive...
Nick Novak had to relieve himself on the field during the San Diego Chargers and Denver Broncos game and thankfully the cameras caught it. Obviously relieving himself by the Gatorade cooler did not help his mojo.

The San Diego Chargers started their season with a 4-1 record but lost six straight and now have a record of 4-7. Their most recent loss came in Over-Time at the hands of the Denver Broncos with a score of 16-13.
Quarterback Philip Rivers passed for just 188 yards but did connect with Tight End Antonio Gates for a Touchdown. Gates led the team with six receptions which...
SAN DIEGO — This was football in retreat. Norv Turner played it scared. He played to keep his quarterback in one piece.
The Chargers have plenty of areas that need personnel improvement. BOLTHYPE explores these glaring areas of need, to this point in the 2011 campaign:
Tight End: Antonio Gates has played well in spot duty, sadly his injuries have not allowed him to play a full season. Sperry is a nice addition...
San Diego Chargers lost their sixth game in a row with Sunday’s loss to the Denver Broncos 16 – 10 in overtime.
After an initial field goal, Philip Rivers found Antonio Gates for a 10-0 Chargers lead at the start of the game.
Tim Tebow threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Eric Decker right before the end of the half bringing the score 10-7.
After each team scored a field goal...
