This will be interesting to watch during the course of the game. It might be a sign that McKnight will not play. Activating four running backs in addition to a fullback is not something the Jets have done (as far as I can recall) since Ryan came to the team. The Jets are obviously trying to get their running backs to be as healthy as possible as the team balances their run at the playoffs, with having players who would be fresh once they get there. Remember Thomas Jones two years ago? That’s what the Jets are trying to avoid.
Powell specifically is the team’s best duplicate on the roster of Shonn Greene. McKnight is more in the Tomlinson role … so this to me signifies interior running dutie...
