With no particular inside information or any gift for prognostication, I offer the following scenarios about the off season and how it will shape up for our Philadelphia Eagles.  With the coaching staff now set, the most important unknowns right now are how the players stack up for 2012.   Here are my thoughts. DeSean Jackson The biggest choice the Eagles have to make in free agency is the Rocket Man, DeSean Jackson.  The choice here isn’t an easy one.  Jackson has tangible and intangible assets that the Eagles use to full effect.  Even when not catching passes, DJax is heading downfield to open up the lanes in the middle.  His production cannot be easily measured in terms of receptions or touchdowns. However, we all know Jackson has a Mr. Hyde side. He takes games off.  He almost took all of 2011 off. He sulks, drops passes and is immature.  But his biggest flaw is his sense of self-worth.  The Philadelphia Daily News recently reported, “Owner Jeff Lurie said earlier this m...

  • I think we should trade asumaha not Sammy asumaha is overrated he should go no1 is scared 2 throw in his direction but they think twice about Sammy
  • I can understand your argument because of the disappointing season Asomugha had in 2011. However, if the Eagles coaching staff utilizes him to his strengths and allows him to play more of a press than zone coverage, Eagles fans will see an entirely different Nnamdi Asomugha in 2012. Todd Bowles should have a tremendous influence on that!

Philadelphia Eagles “What If’s” That Surround DeSean Jackson

Now that the Philadelphia Eagles have ended their highly anticipated search for a new defensive coordinator by retaining Juan Castillo for a second round, the focus is shifting back to the Eagles two-time Pro Bowl receiver DeSean Jackson and what could come of his current contract situation. Steve Smith's magical year with the Eagles

When the NY Giants decided not to re-sign receiver Steve Smith, the hate that flowed towards the Giants came in torrents. Giants fans just couldn't believe they weren't re-signing a receiver coming off a major knee injury. At he time, I completely understood the Giants position on Smith. Turns out, it was the correct call."Hey Eli, can I get a ticket to the Super Bowl...

Will Andy Reid Watch The Super Bowl?

I pose the question because I really do not know if Big Red will watch the biggest game of the year.  We know that Reid has a certain football philosophy.  Let’s face it, Eagles fans know that Andy Reid is one stubborn S.O.B.  Will it be too much for Andy to take watching two coaches that typically understand the natural flow of a football game? The New England Patriots...

DeSean Jackson Says His Future With Eagles "Out Of My Hands"

In a little over two weeks, DeSean Jackson will find out if the Eagles intend to franchise him on the first day they are able to do so. The wide receiver, who attended the NFL Honors Show on Saturday, said that he did not know where he stood with the Eagles. “It’s out of my hands,” Jackson told NBC10 during a brief red carpet interview. “So hopefully I am and I will look forward...

Should the New England Patriots sign WR DeSean Jackson?

After watching Super Bowl XLVI yesterday, one thing is apparent, the New England Patriots need some speed at the wide receiver position. Would the New England Patriots sign Philadelphia Eagles WR DeSean Jackson? The move makes perfect sense to me. New England Patriots fans might object to the move because of the attitude issues which surround Jackson, but he’s been exceptionally...
