Playing in the NFL for the first time in almost two years isn't the only reason running back Lorenzo Booker is smiling these days.

He can finally put away his checkbook.

Booker, who was signed from the United Football League to the 53-man roster on Tuesday, paid the UFL's $25,000 transfer fee and also missed two regular season NFL paychecks because of the UFL's original $150,000 demands when the Vikings tried to sign him two weeks ago.
