The Los Angeles Chargers have had a weird offseason. They got their head coach in John Harbaugh, but they haven't had a ton of room to work with when it comes to free agency. They were already not cap-compliant enough to start the offseason, but after some moves, they are now.
But, there still isn't a ton of cap space available. After their most recent moves, they have $29 million in cap space, per Spotrac. However, while that seems like a lot, they have to have enough space to sign all of their draft picks.
They did, though, have enough space to reunite with one of their former players, a guy who started his career in Los Angeles a long time ago. This move may be a bit nostalgic for Chargers fans.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Los Angeles Chargers are agreeing to terms with veteran linebacker Denzel Perryman, who was on the Houston Texans last season, and the Las Vegas Raiders before that. He last played for the Chargers from 2015-2020.
Reunion: The #Chargers are expected to sign their former 2nd round pick and veteran LB Denzel Perryman to a 1-year deal, source said. Was in San Diego and LA from 2015-2020, now is back.

Perryman was drafted to the San Diego Chargers and played for the Chargers when they relocated. Now, he is going back and is a solid addition to what will likely be a defense with a ton of star power and not as much depth as they need.
