The Los Angeles Chargers are set to sign veteran center Bradley Bozeman. It's a one-year contract for a player with ties to the new coaching staff.

Fan favorite offensive lineman Corey Linsley is expected to retire later this offseason. Bozeman would be his replacement.

Why Bozeman for the Chargers?

Well, familiarity can be key in the NFL. New Chargers offensive coordinator Greg Roman coached Bozeman in Baltimore with the Ravens. He is a clear scheme fit and has proven to be consistent in recent years.

The veteran lineman has taken 2200+ snaps at both center and guard. He played his best ball under Roman at center with the Ravens.

Bozeman won't win awards or be flashy, but he can get the job done for an offense that will be going through a major transition period. His veteran presence cannot be understated for Los Angeles and Justin Herbert.
