Lots of Lapses, But No Collapse Leads Falcons Over Bengals

Its not supposed to be pretty. This is the NFL, after all. It is a hard sport with tough players who play angrily. Nothing about any of that screams pretty or finesse or attractive. That also sums up the Atlanta Falcons so far this season. Their wins are not pretty. They are prone to allowing the big plays on defense as they have been known to suffer multiple mental lapses during each game. They run the ball with a smash mouth style, and their defense hits hard (Just ask Desean Jackson if you don’t believe me). But one thing cannot be denied. This team just keeps winning. Atlanta defeated the Cincinnati Bengals at home yesterday, 39-32. It was a great game at times, it was an awful game at times. We were happy. We were sad. We were confused. And we were frustrated. But in the end, once again, we were elated and relieved at the same time. Atlanta is sitting at 5-2 atop the NFC South as they prepare to enter their much needed bye week. They have the best record in the entire NFC...
