Adam Vinatieri made a 53-yard field goal with eight seconds left Sunday to give Andrew Luck and Indianapolis a 23-20 victory over Minnesota. Luck and new Colts coach Chuck Pagano both picked up their first career victories in their home opener. Minnesota (1-1) rallied from a two-touchdown deficit in the final five minutes, tying the score on a 6-yard TD pass from Christian Ponder to Kyle Rudolph with 31 seconds left. But that was too much time for Luck, who had thrown for two touchdowns. He started with back-to-back 20-yard completions, then drew the Vikings offside before spiking the ball with 12 seconds to go. Vinatieri, the best clutch kicker in NFL history, knocked the 53-yarder through the uprights to win it.

Regular Season Week 2, Quick Recap: Colts 23 v Vikings 20

The Indianapolis Colts (1-1) rebounded from their shaky opening-day performance to beat the Minnesota Vikings in their home opener, 23-20. It was a finish a bit too close for comfort for the Colts, who entered the 4th quarter with a 14-point lead. Conservative play calling that prevented the Colts offense from moving the ball until the last drive of the game kept a shaky, inconsistent...

Pick of the week: Vikings (-1.5) at Colts

While we watch every move that Andrew Luck makes in his rookie season, and endlessly compare every throw he makes to Peyton, many of the Colts deficiencies will go overlooked. Indianapolis Colts look for first win in home opener against Minnesota Vikings
