Andrew Luck is finally getting a chance to show off his arm in Indianapolis. The Colts' new franchise quarterback threw his first passes with his new teammates during Friday's rookie mini-camp at the team complex. It seemed like old times for Luck, who wore a red No. 12 jersey just like he did at Stanford. He also was throwing balls to two college teammates -- tight end Coby Fleener, Indy's second-round pick, and receiver Griff Whalen, an undrafted free agent. This weekend is the only time between now and June 8 that Luck can practice at the Colts' complex. League rules prohibit players from participating in any other offseason team workouts until they finish classes, which for Luck is June 7.

Luck seeks credibility

He was drafted first overall but clearly knows he's looking up a mountain with the veterans. Andrew Luck knows his place: "I'm definitely at the bottom of the totem pole," the top pick in the NFL Draft told reporters Friday. "(I'm) trying to digest all the info first and build up a little credibility for myself." The former Stanford quarterback said...

Report: Patriots sign veteran RB

The Patriots had brought in several running backs for a look, and it appears as if they have selected one to sign.

Emerging market for Freeney?

Nate Dunlevy points out that the injury to Terrell Suggs creates an opening in Baltimore for Dwight Freeney. Nate believes Freeney is headed elsewhere before the season begins: Among the possible trade options open to the Ravens is Indianapolis Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney. Freeney has been repeatedly linked to trade rumors, and I believe he will be moved before the close...

Indianapolis Colts 2012 NFL Draft Analysis

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="650" caption="Andrew Luck is now the face of the Colts franchise."][/caption] The Indianapolis Colts blew up their roster this off-season, therefore they needed to reload on both sides of the ball entering the 2012 NFL Draft.  Yet, they went offense heavy with 8 of their 10 picks being offensive players...

Secondary still a concern

Paul Kuharsky notes that the Colts addressed their front seven for their defensive transition but still have gaping holes in the secondary: The problem is in the secondary. Indianapolis was 15th against the pass last year. But that ranking is misleading because offenses could run against the Colts and often handed off while trying to run time off the clock and preserve leads....

Colts get new scouting director

The Colts have a new director of college scouting: On Thursday, the team officially confirmed that Arizona Cardinals director of player personnel T.J. McCreight would be joining the Colts as their new director of college scouting. McCreight had spent time with the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens prior to joining the Cardinals, which ties him to Colts' new head coach...

Source: Joseph Addai Expected to Sign with The New England Patriots

Another member of the group that the “new” Indianapolis Colts didn’t want around, has found a new home, according to a source close to the NFL Network . Addai was a member of the Indianapolis team that beat the Patriots in 2006 in the AFC championship. With all the teams making great pickups this off-season, just add another great decision by the Patriots from office. Addai...

Gary Anderson was one of the greatest kickers of all time. Anderson played in the NFL from 1982 to 2004, accumulating 2434 points and 538 successful field goals. Now, it seems, his son is trying to follow in his footsteps. Austin Anderson is a young, 23 years old, the same age Gary Anderson was when he entered the league 30 years ago. Austin Anderson is currently with the Indianapolis...
