Jeremy Maclin was expected to see an increased workload when DeSean Jackson went to IR, but that hasn’t been the case. Maclin has totaled a mere 12 targets in his last two games total, a number he reached against the Cowboys less than a month ago. Maclin isn’t a player I feel comfortable with for the rest of the season, as he isn’t much of a threat to score and this offense isn’t capable of putting up enough yardage to make any receiver useful. LeSean McCoy is one of the best play makers in the game, and we all knew he’d have a great impact on the fantasy football playoffs. However, his role will be watching Bryce Brown, as the Eagles have no reason to risk the health of McCoy this week against Tampa Bay, or the rest of the season for that matter. Brown has been the best back in the NFL over the last two weeks, with the only flaw being his inability to take care of the ball. While fumbles are concerning, they are not paralyzing in the fantasy world. With Nick Foles the QB for the re...

D-line Coach Jim Washburn Relieved of Duties by the Philadelphia Eagles

It’s hard to imagine that it will have any impact at this stage, but the Philadelphia Eagles announced on Monday morning that they have relieved defensive line coach Jim Washburn of his duties. It’s no secret that Washburn and the widely criticized Wide Nine scheme would be headed out the door with head coach Andy Reid at the end of the season. But Reid decided to hasten the...

What’s Wrong In Philadelphia?

Not even a doctor could diagnose the issues happening in Philadelphia right now.  In a city so haunted by sports failures, going into the beginning of December, the Phillies have won a game more recently than the Eagles, and they didn’t even make the MLB playoffs. Going into a promising week five game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Eagles fans were giddy.  Not only were the...

Nick Foles to start for Eagles for remainder of season

It looks like Alex Smith isn’t the only quarterback to lose his job after an injury, as Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid announced Monday that Nick Foles will be the starting quarterback over Michael Vick for the rest of the season. It’s been an ugly season for the Eagles, who find themselves at the bottom of the NFC East with a 3-9 record and have lost their last 8...

Thinking Forward: Andrew Might Be Hawkin’ His Wares Against The Eagles

Get it? Andrew Hawkins?  Hawkin’?  Eagles?  So much pun, so little time.  The truth of the matter is it’s playoff time and we all know you’re most likely a strong enough team or else you wouldn’t be here.  But injuries can always happen.  It’s why I carry around a first aid kit where ever I go and have learned to make splints out of those umbrella sticks found in...

In final games the Eagles prepare for next season and the draft

Moves that the Eagles must make in the offseason. As the Eagles to continue to pile up the losses one can only look to next season. Everyone would expect that Andy Reid will not be part of 2013′s plan despite the changes of late in the coaching staff.  The Eagles have huge holes on the offensive line and defensively that will need to be addressed by whoever is in charge...

Eagles fire defensive line coach Jim Washburn

The Philadelphia Eagles continue to rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic, firing defensive line coach Jim Washburn following Sunday night’s 38-33 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Brasher previously coached the Eagles’ defensive line in 1985 and again from 1999-2005, when he retired from football. Washburn, who instituted the team’s “Wide 9″ defensive front, had…

Eagles - Cowboys Takeaways

How Can Brown Fail For You? > On the first play from scrimmage, DeMarcus Ware wasted Brent Celek and nearly ended Nick Fols as Philadelphia shrugged> WR Riley Cooper and Celek both fought for first downs, which was nice, I guess> RB Bryce Brown is really good at running wide for a big loss> Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray is running with a slight limp, which means he might...
