New York Giants
A suburban New York mother who pleaded guilty to promoting prostitution says she plans to write a book that will disclose names.
Following a court appearance Wednesday, Anna Gristina said football fans in particular will be interested in the book. The New York Post reported an NFL executive will be the first name she discloses, possibly in an upcoming interview with TV host psychologist Dr. Phil.
"There is going to be a giant name dropped -- actually, a couple of them," Gristina said, laughing when asked if she was implying a connection to the New York Giants.
"Everyone's going to have to watch Dr. Phil," she told the newspaper. "I will tell you that one of the names is high-level [NFL] management. Then there's an older [football] player who's still very well known. Tune in to Dr. Phil!"
Gristina, a 44-year-old mother of four, appeared before Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan. She was released last month after being sentenced to time served and is on five years of probation. She pleaded guilty to a single count of promoting prostitution.
Prosecutors had alleged she made millions over 15 years as a madam. Gristina said she was only starting a dating service.

Former prank target now a Giants star
When he enters the cold tub now at New York Giants headquarters, Prince Amukamara does so voluntarily.
Amukamara's reputation took a bath this summer when a video of the second-year cornerback being roughly dumped in the icy water by Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul was posted by another teammate (punter Steve Weatherford) on the Internet.

DB Rolle, Giants ready to show some more fight
Antrel Rolle wants to see a little more of the dog from the New York Giants, and not just the defense.
This dog isn't a blitz though.
The veteran safety who is the sparkplug on that side of the ball said Wednesday that the Giants (7-5) need to start showing the tenacity of one of those nasty dogs who is not out to make any friends if it wants to get back to the playoffs.

Diehl back on starting line for champion Giants
Veteran offensive tackle David Diehl is back in the New York Giants' starting lineup, except it wasn't the way he wanted.
Diehl was thrust back into the front line in the fourth quarter of Monday night's 17-16 loss to the Washington Redskins when Sean Locklear suffered a major knee injury that will sideline him for the rest of the season.
Locklear had been one of the...
Giants respect Spagnuolo defense, despite ranking
The New York Giants know better than to underestimate a Steve Spagnuolo defense, even one that currently ranks at the bottom of the NFL.
When the Saints' defensive coordinator was in New York, the Giants not only won a Super Bowl, but they saw how Spagnuolo could adapt when things went wrong and improve his unit over time.
Giants guard Kevin Boothe says the thing he remembers...
New York Giants defense takes aim at Drew Brees and the Saints
The New York Giants are mad. After their Monday night loss to the Redskins, those that are students of the game knew that they would be.
Atypically for them at this stage of the season that means that they next team up on their roster has to pay a large tax for the events of the game prior.

Giants’ Monday Night Football Loss Causes Man to Hit Wife, Shoot at Police
We realize that sports can make many people upset, but one Florida man clearly took his fandom too far.

Canty out to stuff Saints offense
The big guy from The Bronx deserves a cheer.
New York Giants defensive tackle Chris Canty doesn't take playing for his hometown team for granted, especially around the holidays. Through the charity organization he formed ( chriscantyfoundation.org ), Canty has taken a hands-on approach while trying to help those less fortunate. That includes sponsoring toy giveaways this month...

Jason Pierre-Paul says it will be easier to face Drew Brees than RG3
The New York Giants’ defense had a hard time with Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III this past Monday night. Defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul is happy that they’ll be playing a typical offense then they play the Saints on Sunday.
“The Redskins got a great scheme going on there, especially with their quarterback they got, and just playing that option, man, is crazy,...
Osi praises Brees despite teammate Rolle's lecture
The other day Antrel Rolle went on a mini-rant scolding his New York Giants teammates for gushing over opponent Robert Griffin III before the team played the Washington Redskins.

New Orleans Saints at New York Giants: Week 14 NFL Pick
New Orleans Saints (5-7) at New York Giants (7-5)
Earlier this week, I outlined why the Redskins should be considered the favorites to win the NFC East. The Redskins, presumably, have the tiebreaker, by virtue of their better divisional record. They are a game back right now, but they are almost definitely going favored in each of their last four games, while the Giants will be favored...
