Welcome to our Wednesday 12th man mailbag. This week we’re talking the Seahawks draft strategy, and address the rumors regarding Sidney Rice and Red Bryant being cut.

Should the Seahawks have a specific role in mind or play it by ear with their first pick?
My guess is that John Schneider and Pete Carroll will play it both ways there. I’m certain that they have a plan in mind for their number one pick, but if circumstances change they will have a backup plan, and a backup plan for the backup plan. If it’s me I pick the best offensive lineman that’s available when the 32nd pick comes around, but I can also see them going with a big receiver as well. The good news is that according to most folks in the know, this is one of the deepest NFL drafts in about 30 years, so even if the Seahawks can’t get their first or second or third man, there’s still a lot of skill to go around.
Since the draft is so deep though I can see Schneider going with the old “take...
