The special teams woes continue for the San Diego Chargers as not only did they have a punt blocked for the fifth time this season, but punter Mike Scifres took a shot in the process..
Only two minutes into the first quarter, Texans linebacker Stanford Keglar broke past the line and blocked the punt. In the process, Keglar hit Scifres in the leg, causing him to spin around in midair and land awkwardly on the ground. Scifres injured his left leg on the play but did return to the game.
Bernard Pollard recovered at the eight yard line. You can watch a video of the play at NFL.com
Special teams coach Steve Crosby was noticeably upset after the block but you can't help but question how much of the blame he should place on himself.
