A 2-year-old is dead and the man responsible is set free.
Joseph Robert Patterson, who was charged with killing the 2-year-old son of Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has bonded out of the Minnehaha County Jail in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Tim Rensch, Patterson’s attorney confirmed the release and continued to say that Patterson plans on remaining in the area and defend himself.
According to TMZ: “The bond was lowered from $1 million yesterday after Patterson plead not guilty in court. He has been charged with second degree manslaughter, as well as aggravated battery of an infant. He has also been charged with felony child abuse.”
Patterson was able to bond out of jail after his family posted $75,000 of the $750,000.
Peterson was not aware that he fathered the child until two months ago and sadly, met him while the infant was on life support.
The mother who was also the girlfriend of Patterson was not around during the time of the brutal abuse of the child.
No other court dates have been set.
