There were some injury updates today as the team resumed practicing after the Jets win over the Dolphins on Monday night. While some players are coming back to the field, it looks as if Rex Ryan is keeping some of his injured players off the field to rest them for Sunday’s game according to Jenny Vrentas of the Star-Ledger.
Mangold was not out on the practice field during the portion of practice open to the media. Cromartie and CB Isaiah Trufant (hamstring) did stretching and warm-ups with the team but were not in uniform and did not join position drills.
Coach Rex Ryan said Tuesday he expected Mangold and Cromartie to be at least limited early in the week but both should play vs. San Diego.
DL Ropati Pitoitua (knee) and CB Donald Strickland (concussion), who sat out Monday’s game, were participating in position drills today.
Glad to hear that Cromartie will be alright to play, and for Mangold the team is just trying to get him well. It’s obvious he came back on an early timeframe...
