At this stage it’s no question Manning will be ready for the start of the 2011 season, and rehabilitation from his neck surgery May 23rd appears on track. According to an eye witness, Manning was seen “running and throwing” with “decent velocity” at camp Wednesday.
But fantasy owners should still beware: Manning, who entered camp on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, is still missing time with the first team offense. If he misses too much time, rhythm and timing with those players could suffer during the first few weeks of the regular season. This shouldn’t affect his draft stock much, but don’t be surprised if he looks a little off the first few weeks of the season.
