Marcus Williams was crying in locker room after blown tackle
Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

For all the joys of victory the Minnesota Vikings are celebrating, the New Orleans Saints are experiencing equal amounts of the agony of defeat. And nobody is feeling worse than Marcus Williams.

The rookie safety missed on a tackle that allowed Stefon Diggs to break free and score the winning touchdown to give Minnesota a 29-24 victory over New Orleans in their playoff game on Sunday.

Knowing full well that he blew the game, Williams was crushed. NFL Media’s Alex Flanagan shared some heartbreaking details about how affected Williams was after the loss, noting that he was crying in the locker room:

Williams had a solid rookie season and helped his team advance to the second round of the playoffs, but he will have a hard time getting past his costly mistake. And he would be advised to avoid Twitter, where fans have been going after him pretty hard.
