  • After Sanchez' injury the Rex 'The Clown' Ryan post game interview will join other infamous interviews that have dogged the heals of the coaches responsible for years to come. I'm referring to the...'PLAYOFFS...we're talking about PLAYOFFS...PLAYOFFS ETC and 'YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAMES'. The coaches that uttered those words have been laughed at for years. Rex Ryan just joined that non elite group of morons with yesterdays post game interview. If Jets management has a pair of balls they will fire this clown NOW!!! Why delay the inevitable?! If Sanchez is hurt badly Ryan may have altered his career. Granted, ButtFumble is not a good QB, but he did not deserve to be used in this manner in a meaningless preseason game. Nothing wrong with competing, but there was absolutely NO justification for having Sanchez in this game. Pre season wins mean little if anything because it's essentially one quarter of starters and three quarters of backups and bubble players. Who cares in the end!! There was a season I recall as a Giants fan when they went 6-0 during the 14 game era...they proceeded to win if I remember correctly, only 2 or 3 games that year. The way Ryan imploded in the interview and handled it in the bizarre way in which he did just compounds what a horrible example of a head coach he is. The Jets just need to finally admit that they made a mistake in naming him the head coach and cut their losses. This team needs new leadership and a new direction and they need it now. On the other hand, as a Giants fan I would get to continue to watch the circus that is the Jets under Ryan and that is always entertaining.

Jets Don’t Know What’s Wrong With Mark Sanchez’s Shoulder; He’s Day to Day

Jets's Sanchez hurt vs. Giants

New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez left the team's preseason game against the Giants late in the fourth quarter with what appeared to be a shoulder injury. Sanchez, in with the backup offense after Geno Smith played into the fourth quarter, rolled out under heavy pressure and completed a 23-yard pass to Mohamed Massaquoi before having his right shoulder slammed into by Marvin...

Jets “Desperate” To Bench QB Mark Sanchez?

Rich Cimini of ESPN New York believes that the Jets are desperate to bench QB Mark Sanchez. Cimini notes that people who spoke to owner Woody Johnson following the team’s embarrassing loss to the Titans last season said there was a “never again” look in his eyes. The Jets have made it very clear all preseason that they are looking to give rookie Geno Smith every opportunity...

Mark Sanchez Didn’t Want to Play with the Backups

The downward spiral for the Jets continues with more drama and less winning. After Geno Smith made his starting debut with an abysmal 3 INTs and accidentally running out the back of the end zone for a safety, Coach Rex Ryan decided to give original starter, Mark Sanchez, a nod in the 4th quarter. No one quite understands the motivation behind this decision, but CBS Sports is reporting...

Rex Ryan Has Epic Meltdown After Mark Sanchez’s Injury, Stands Sideways When Answering Questions (Video)

Trouble usually has a way of finding the Jets. On Saturday, Rex Ryan went out looking for it. After a miserable debut performance from Saturday’s starter Geno Smith, Ryan turned to old reliable — excuse the sarcasm — Mark Sanchez to lead the Jets’ offense behind a second-string offensive line in the fourth quarter of a meaningless preseason game. The decision almost immediately...

New Jersey governor calls Manish Mehta of the NY Daily News a “dope”

New Jersey governor Chris Christie had some harsh words for New York Daily News reporter Manish Mehta today. Christie clearly didn’t like that his buddy Rex Ryan was asked by Mehta if rookie Geno Smith will start week one now that Mark Sanchez is injured, per The Big Lead. Chris Christie, the Governor of New Jersey, went on WFAN radio in New York this morning and called an NFL...

Who Should Rex Ryan Start At Quarterback?

We knew Rex Ryan was on a hot seat heading into this season, but I don't think anyone predicted this mess. The battle between Mark Sanchez and Geno Smith was a rather dull one, but a starting quarterback battle nonetheless. Both QBs made mistake after mistake and it was clear a starter wouldn't be named until the team saw some preseason action. Well, we're in our final...

The Jets are the Gift that Just Keeps Giving

I used to think that the 2012 New York Jets season was a gift from the comedy gods that would never be replicated. Then last night happened. The Jets took the field for their "dress rehearsal" third preseason game last night, taking on that other team from New York (you know, the one that actually wins things). After missing their last game with an ankle injury, rookie...
