One Jet At A Time:
As fans still debate whether Rex Ryan's move to put Sanchez in the Giants game in the fourth quarter, his injury and its severity, are starting to come to light.
According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, Sanchez sustained a bruised right shoulder joint in Saturday's game.
While the injury does not appear season-ending or even a 'half season off' deal, from what we've learned, Mark Sanchez's Week 1 availability looks to be in jeoporady. If he is unable to start against the Bucs, per his physical health or a Jets staff decision, Geno Smith may have locked up the starting job.
I say this, because it is much more difficult to 'go to Geno' and then revert to Sanchez, unless the Jets see everything possible from Geno Smith. That's unlikely to happen anytime in the near future, as John Idzik will give the rookie an opportunity to grow in a limited playbook.
Sanchez's current status is day-to-day, as officially announced by the ...

Mark Sanchez entered Saturday nights preseason game in the fourth quarter and was sacked three times before exiting with a shoulder injury.

It didn’t look good.
The Jets are having all type of problems with their quarterbacks.
The New York Jets entered Saturday night’s preseason game against the New York Giants with a big question mark surrounding the quarterback position.
They left it with far worse.
In addition to a less-than-impressive three-interception effort from rookie Geno Smith fifth-year veteran Mark Sanchez left the game with a right shoulder injury after being inexplicably inserted into...
Rex Ryan gave an entertaining answer in response to being asked about his quarterback situation at a postgame press conference.
It was just a matter of time that Rex Ryan was going to explode, but did we really expect it to happen this quickly?
The New York Jets head coach had his first of what could be multiple mini-meltdowns this season after the Jets’ preseason game against the Giants on Saturday night. Left to answer questions about why Mark Sanchez was playing in fourth quarter, Ryan was eventually...
Ugh, I’m making the lead paragraph about Mark Sanchez. I know, blech. I might as well have talked about Bob Dole here, it would’ve been just as exciting. But the reality is, despite him not getting drafted even in 2QB leagues, Sanchez was set to be the starting quarterback for the Jets this year. You see, Rex Ryan got this tattoo and…well, tattoos are forever. Well...
Florham Park, NJ "You never know.'A fitting way to describe Ryan Spadola's chances coming into training camp this year, and the words the undrafted rookie receiver out of Lehigh used to describe his thoughts coming into work today: the first cut day.But after a game in which Spadola pulled in three catches for 110 yards and a touchdown, it would've been a shock...
Fairly soon, it’s going to be quicker to list the people who haven’t weighed in on Sanchezgate than those who have.

It's been a tough offseason for Rex Ryan.
The New York Jets coach has tangled with the local press , maybe possibly had a rift with team brass , had people call for his job , had Randy Moss call him " embarrassing " and got chased by bulls in Spain (though that appears to be voluntary).
Most recently, Ryan made a controversial decision during Saturday's preseason...

We Have Entered The Green And White Zone
Forget the Twilight Zone. The Jets flew into a whole new air space of bizarre against the Giants. To a place that even the longest standing...
No snacks will be given out.
Only thing was missing was Drew Rosenhaus.
If you missed it Geno Smith had 3 INTs and ran out of the end zone for a safety and that was before Mark Sanchez injures his shoulder.
