New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan has announced that Mark Sanchez will be their starting quarterback for this week’s preseason game against the Lions.
This isn’t a surprise. Even if Geno Smith is out playing Sanchez so far, Smith is a rookie and it would be better for him to play with the second team for now.
Also starting Sanchez won’t give him the chance to say he never got a fair chance to be the Jets’ starter.
