Tim Tebow? Nope. Rex Ryan? Nah. Mark Sanchez? Getting warmer. The biggest storyline to come out of Jets headquarters on Thursday was what sat on top of Sanchez’s head. The Jets quarterback, who is expected to battle recently drafted Geno Smith for the starting job this offseason, showed up to media availability with a ridiculous lime-green headband in his hair — as though he had plans to try out for a youth girls soccer team or that he was rocking a fashionable  hairnet. Check out some photos and reactions from Twitter below. Jets are an entertaining squad. Not exactly sure what Mark Sanchez was thinking here, but LeBron laughs at his futile attempt to rock a headband. Sanchez: 'No doubt' I expect to be QB

Mark Sanchez spoke for more than 20 minutes about the New York Jets' crowded quarterback situation, saying all the right things throughout. Yes, he believes he'll be the starter, and, yes, he looks forward to the competition. Then came the question everyone really wanted to know: Hey, Mark, what's up with that headband? ''It's my inner-soccer player,'...

Mark Sanchez rocked a nifty headband when he met with the media (photos)

Freshly liberated from the soul-crushing environment that was the three-ring circus sideshow that the Tim Tebow Experiment became for the New York Jets last season, quarterback Mark Sanchez finally can relax, but apparently not to the extent where he feels able to let his hair down entirely. Which might explain why Sanchez rocked a nifty little green headband during his interaction...
NOT GOOD ENOUGH, EH?

Moon: Tebow won't cut it in CFL

Warren Moon, who spent six seasons in the Canadian Football League, believes that Tim Tebow has no greater chance of success in that league than he does in the NFL.

Is former Jets QB Tim Tebow really that awful?

With the recent release of QB Tim Tebow by the NY Jets, it got me wondering just how bad he really was. After taking several things into account I have decided that despite what his detractors say he was not all that bad. If you just look at the usual passing stats themselves, you will see very pedestrian numbers. He completed 173 of 361 for a 47.9 completion percentage, which is...

Mark Sanchez: ‘No doubt’ I expect to win starting QB job

With the additions of David Garrard and Geno Smith this offseason, Mark Sanchez no longer has a stronghold on the Jets’ starting quarterback job. But that isn’t deterring the confidence of the man behind the Butt-Fumble. Per the New York Daily News, Sanchez said Thursday that he expects to top the depth chart and enter Week 1 under center for Gang Green. “No doubt,” Sanchez...

Tim Tebow: 5 Reasons To Sign The Former NFL Sensation

Top 5 Reasons to sign Tim Tebow to your NFL Team: 5. The running quarterback just became a whole lot more popular with RG3 and Cam Newton. The Redskins led the NFL in rushing last year with their pistol offense. It was so impressive that the 49ers adopted it midway through the season with Colin Kaepernick. So if this is the hot new trend in the NFL, why not pick up a cheap, durable...

Rex Ryan: I want to coach Jets for 20 more years

While speculation has led us to believe his job is on thin ice, Rex Ryan has a different design regarding his future. During an interview with WLNY-TV Friday, Ryan said he hopes to remain the Jets coach for “about another 20 years." In order to achieve that arguably unattainable goal, the team has to perform better than in recent years. And he knows it. “Obviously ...

Tim Tebow: Most Appropriate Landing Spots

Never before have we seen someone so celebrated and loved, win a playoff game over a storied franchise, and be traded away like he was nothing to a circus of a team only to sit behind a QB that has no business starting a game in the NFL.  That was, of course, until we met Tim Tebow. Tebow was not only a QB in the NFL, he was a savior.  He inspired millions of people across the...

Taiwanese Animation takes on Tim Tebow getting cut by the Jets (Video)

With the news that Tim Tebow was cut by the New York Jets, we all figured that the fine folks over at Next Media Animation in Taiwan would have their own take on it. The below video might be the best thing that you see all week....

Goal for Jets' Ryan remains same despite changes

Rex Ryan looked out the window at the Manhattan skyline and a little bit of the brash and bold New York Jets coach from a few years ago slipped out. The declarations and guarantees don't come nearly as often as they used to because Ryan says he has learned a few things over the years. Deep down, though, he insists he's still the same guy he has always been. No matter what...

Pops Corner: Draft Reaction

This week, I thought I would move away from the past and look towards the future of our New York Jets. Last week's NFL Draft was full of surprises and always seems to leave us with more questions than answers. The Jets drafted two defensive players in the first round, but all anyone wants to talk about is their second round pick of quarterback, Geno Smith. Let me first say...

Klein should learn from the Tebow QB experiment

KANSAS CITY, Mo. Heres the thing that doesnt make a shred of sense: Collin Klein is a smart guy. Surely, hes watched enough of Tim Tebow to know that this is not the path that lands you at Candy Castle in the end. Surely, hes seen enough NFL games to know that quarterbacks whove been trained to run first, run second, and throw third usually wind up getting their knees bent like...
