Pro Football Zone:
The teammates of Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez believe he’s ready for a big season in 2012.
Linebacker Bart Scott says Sanchez has handled himself differently this season.
“I think everybody has seen a difference in how he walks, how he handles it if he throws a bad ball, how he carries himself,” Scott said, per The Associated Press via NFL.com. “Mark’s always been a guy that you can see his emotions and how he’s feeling about himself by his facial expressions. I think now he carries himself upright and he sticks that chest out like a peacock.
“I think that really shows confidence. But it also helps and inspires his players because they respond because he’s their leader, and they’re are going to go as he goes.”
Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis says whether the Jets win or lose this season, everything will fall on Sanchez’s shoulders.
“The quarterback needs to take us there, and we’re counting on Mark to do that,” Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis said. “Everybody has to do their job, but if we lose, it falls on Mark. If we win, it falls on Mark. The biggest thing is, we’re very confident in Mark and we know he can lead us. He’s done it in the past, and we’re counting on him.”
BEST OF MAXIM
The Jets offense stumbled out the gates Friday night against the Bengals, recording -3 yards in three plays on the first drive and 38 yards in 11 plays on their second, both resulting in zero points. Mark Sanchez threw for 21 yards on four of six passing and was sacked twice.Tim Tebow had success scrambling for yards, but completed four of eight passes with an interception. Granted...

Bart Scott has high expectations for Mark Sanchez, saying he wants the New York Jets quarterback to ''take the next step'' of becoming one of the top 10 players at his position.
The linebacker says Wednesday that there is a noticeable difference in how Sanchez carries himself as a leader this season, the quarterback's fourth in the NFL. Scott says Sanchez '...

Mark Sanchez, the starting back-up QB for the New York Jets, has been battling Tim Tebow all summer long in Cortland. But it seems that he is taking control under center and in the huddle. Last season, he had to deal with Santonio Holmes running his mouth, but he wants everyone to know that he [...]
New York sports fans aren’t exactly the most patient bunch in America. They want results and they want them fast. When the Jets traded up in the first round to get Mark Sanchez four years ago, the mindset became Super Bowl or bust. Sanchez led the team to two AFC Championships in his first two seasons as starting quarterback, but last year was a disappointment. Despite the slide...
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
Even though he's a 49er now and not playing in New York, ex-Giants running back Brandon Jacobs is still unable to hide his disdain for the Jets, calling the team a "circus."
The most important part of any sport is obvious – winning. When the New York Jets traded for quarterback Tim Tebow, they weren’t only acquiring his talents, but they also got his fame and what I don’t understand is, his “problems.”
These “problems” are pointed out by the haters. Now, it’s no mystery that Tebow under-throws and over-throws his receivers. I understand...
"Third drive we started to move the ball a little bit. Got a little scramble there, channeling my inner Tebow and got a first down so that was good."
Those were New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez's remarks during a sideline interview in his team's first preseason game (and loss) against the Cincinnati Bengals. The off-the-cuff remarks were both humorous and...
The New York Jets are going to have an extremely tough upcoming season. From a quarterback battle, no receivers you can count on, a poor defense, and a tough schedule The Jets are in store for a long rough season. Now I know they only played one pre-season game so far against the Cincinnati Bengals, but they didn’t really impress me at all in that game.
Let’s start off with the...

Thanks to Rob Iracrane via LarryBrownSports.com, above is a picture of Jets quarterback Tim Tebow holding a baby that is clearly not happy.
My guess is that the baby doesn’t like the fact that Tebow will be taking away from Mark Sanchez’s playing time. He has to be a Sanchez fan.
