Baltimore Sun:
Marshal Yanda got his first taste of live hitting yesterday afternoon, rotating with Chris Chester at right guard during full-team drills.
But Yanda, who underwent surgery in January to repair torn anterior, medial and posterior cruciate ligaments, understands that he is playing behind Chris Chester.
"Chris is there playing. He played, what, 12 starts last year [actually, 11 regular-season and three postseason starts] after I got hurt, and he’s definitely going to be the guy," Yanda said. "They can’t count on me right now because I’m still trying to make my way back. When that time comes when I can be competitive, then we’ll compete and that’s just the way it goes in football. Whoever is the better player will play."
