Marshawn Lynch is having a career season. For some reason it feels he has been around for a decade, but Lynch is only 25 years old.  He had his fair share of disciplinary issues with the Bills, but this season has been one of vast improvement for the sixth year running back.  His 1,118 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns are the highest totals of his career.  Believe it or not, Lynch said it isn’t the power of Skittles that has allowed him to take his game to the next level.  It was simply growing up.

“I feel I became a pro this year,” Lynch explained according to HeraldNet.com. “In the studying, the taking care of my body, doing the little things that I could have gotten away with when I was younger, like not stretching, just going out there.”

Seahawks assistant coach Tom Cable said Lynch’s willingness to fit into a new system has also translated into tremendous results on the field and earned him a spot as a Pro Bowl alternate. Lynch credits the help of veteran backs Michael Robinson and Justin Forsett for his progression.

See what a little maturation can do for a player?  From the time he was drafted, it was no secret Lynch had plenty of talent.  He just needed an attitude adjustment.  Now that he has finally decided to take football seriously, Lynch has turned into a Pro Bowl caliber back.
