After signing a one-year deal with the New York Giants this past offseason, tight end Martellus Bennett says he’d be willing to give the Giants a hometown discount.
“I could sit here and tell you I would, but it depends on what it is,” Bennett said, per the Newark Star-Ledger. “You never know until the moment comes. But yeah, that is something I would do. A hometown discount? Yeah.”
Bennett said he loves the Giants organization, his teammates and coaches as well as the area. He and his wife, Siggi, hope to buy a home in this area, regardless of if he re-signs with the Giants.
There have been no contract talks with the team up to this point, Bennett said.
“No, so I have no idea what’s going to happen,” Bennett said. “I would think that they would want me to stay. My first year in the offense, my first year as a starter, I thought I did pretty well. I could have did a lot of things better but it’s so much room for growth, and I finally got a taste of a little success. Hopefully, they ...

With the slumping Giants facing a must-win game for even a hope at qualifying for the playoffs, head coach Tom Coughlin thinks players need to “resurrect a little bit of pride.”
Tom Coughlin knows this is how it goes, one year you’re the champ, the next you’re the chump. You can’t win them all, but you can win one for pride. The proud Giants need help to get into the playoffs, a little too much help to realistically sit on a wing of hope. However, Coughlin doesn’t quit and he won’ let his team go under either. “That’s what I talked to our...

After this years disappointing performance the New York Giants are going to need to make some wholesale changes, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Many complain about the secondary but one of the main problems is that their defensive line has gotten old and bad, very fast and that’s the strength of the defense. Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com suggests that the team could...
The New York Giants have not definitively declared him out of Sunday's regular-season finale against the Philadelphia Eagles, but it seems like the season might be over for cornerback Prince Amukamara.

New York Giants' defensive coordinator Perry Fewell spoke on Thursday about his team's defensive shortcomings this season.
One season after winning the Super Bowl the New York Giants appear to be headed toward missing the playoffs. A large part of the reason is a disappointing defense that had not rushed the passer effectively, has surrendered too many big plays and is...
For years, Michael Boley has been a mainstay in the Giants defense, one of their most reliable linebackers but on Sunday, he saw a steep decrease in playing time. And on Wednesday, he admitted that the decline in snaps left him a little bit frustrated.
A little bit, he said. But coaches make the decision, were just employees . . .Thats what they felt like going with...
Giants defensive end Justin Tuck, who missed last week's game at Baltimore with a shoulder injury, returned to the practice field today. Coach Tom Coughlin said Tuck would work in a limited capacity today, which would be a step up from last week, when he did not practice at all.
