Found June 25, 2013 on NFL Draft Zone:

Matt Barkley competed for — and won— starting quarterback jobs as a freshman at both Mater Dei High School and Southern Cal. The only difference with the Eagles is that there’s less attention on him this time. The fourth-round slider said he’s been pleasantly surprised how low-key things have been, at least in comparison to his previous gigs. “I think right now is the least amount of pressure, to tell you the truth, the least amount of attention,” Barkley said, via Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer. “I don’t mind it either way; you just get used to it. But now, with how the whole draft turned it, it allows me to not worry about anything but just put my head down and work, be focused.” I think the Eagles now have the QB of the future. Barkley was the best quarterback in the draft. He will be a starter eventually in Philly.

How Nicks Deal Would Affect Jeremy Maclin, Eagles

Hakeem Nicks is not getting a new deal just yet, but when he does, Philadelphia Eagles receiver Jeremy Maclin will have a much easier time gauging his own price. The New York Giants’ receiver is set to become a free agent at season’s end, as is Maclin himself. Having entered the league at the same time — as first-round picks in the 2009 NFL draft — both players will draw...

Even thought Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson is being sued by his former agent Drew Rosenhaus for owing him money, he decided to show off his custom made Bentley to DUB magazine. NFL Network analyst Jamie Dukes made an appearance on “NFL AM” and stated that the Philly media are “fools” for believing that the Eagles have an open quarterback competition. “When you get to take the reps first, when you’re the first guy to step under center every day at practice, that means you’re the starter. But for some reason, those folks in the media room who...
