Today, the media is buzzing about Barack Obama becoming the 44th President of the United States. Whether you voted for him or not, there is an argument to be made that President Obama has had very little experience going into his Presidency. This is much like an NFL star, who's experience was questioned this year.

The New England Patriots lost NFL MVP Tom Brady in week 1 of the 2008 NFL season. Suddenly, Matt Cassel was the Patriot's starting QB. Going into week 2, 26 year old Matt Cassel had never started a game in the NFL. Even more shocking, while at USC, Cassel never started a game. Like Obama, many questioned Cassel's experience, and how he would fare running the NFL's most potent offense.

Cassel lead the Patriots to an impressive 11 win season. On the year, Cassel threw for 3693 yards, 21 TDs, and an 89.4 rating. All in all, 2008 was a huge success for Cassel.

Expect Obama to prove his cridicts wrong. Obama's lack of experience will not prevent him from leading our Nation.
Don't be surprised if, over the next few years, Matt Cassel and Barack Obama meet at the White House, when Obama congratulates Cassel for winning a Super Bowl.
