Rewind back maybe eight or nine months and Matt Flynn was the prince quarterback of free agency, (after the king, Peyton Manning of course). Flynn had a few choices to make and surprisingly chose the Seattle Seahawks over the Miami Dolphins. The rest is history. He got $10 million guaranteed and some rookie competition in Russell Wilson and veteran Tarvaris Jackson to go with it. Fast-forward to present-day and Wilson has the Seahawks being possible playoff-contenders, while Flynn is a high-paid clipboard holder. Hindsight being 20/20, many wonder would Flynn change his destination if he could do over it again. Flynn told the Tacoma News-Tribune “he wouldn’t change a thing if he could all over again,” and that he “lives with no regrets.” “I wouldn’t say it was hard, but I wouldn’t say it was easy,” Flynn said about picking Seattle over Miami. “I kind of took it with an open mind. I didn’t want to lean one way or another when I looked into it. And I just wanted to get my feel for what I thought would be the best spot. They told me I’d be coming in and competing. “I try to have the motto of living life with no regrets. I wouldn’t take anything back. I think I look back at the things I looked at, and the personal things I decided on, and I think I wouldn’t take anything back. I don’t have any regrets about it, but it was a tough decision, for sure.” I’m not sure Flynn thought Seattle would draft a quarterback, and even after they drafted Wilson, I don’t necessarily think Flynn thought Wilson would beat him out. I think Flynn gets comfort in knowing he’s made a nice living and will be set for life, but other than that, I’d assume he’s burning up inside with thoughts that he might not ever be a starter again. Matt Flynn does not regret becoming a Seattle Seahawk

Do you remember the name Matt Flynn?  If you do you remember that the Seahawks backup quarterback came to Seattle with high hopes of being the starter after he excelled in Green Bay as a…backup. But a funny thing happened in the preseason and that is rookie Russell Wilson was named the starter. Please Click Here To Read This Story

Matt Flynn doesn’t have second thoughts on going to Seattle

On January 1, 2012, the Packers had already clinched the #1 seed and home field advantage throughout the playoffs and gave the final start to Matt Flynn against the Detroit Lions. He threw for 480 yards and 6 touchdowns in the 45-41 victory, both of which set all-time Green Bay Packers records. That performance drew the attention of many quarterback needy teams including Miami...

The Seahawks have to travel across country this week, how will they respond. Week 12 preview.

Seattle has one of the best home field advantages in football.  They also have one of the toughest travels schedules in the league.  Except for a trip to London, this game in Miami is about as far as a team would have to travel for a game. After going a red hot 13-1 in week 11, I went 2-1 on Thanksgiving day.  For the season that makes it 106-57.  I'm still in striking distance...

Seahawks will likely re-sign Jason Jones

Even though defensive end Jason Jones hasn’t had a good season, it sounds like the Seattle Seahawks will re-sign him at the end of the season. Of the Seahawks players due to become unrestricted free agents at the end of the season, team sources tell us the most likely to be re-signed would probably be DE Jason Jones. “He’s missed some time, and his numbers aren’t great,...

Lynch still carries Seattle's offense

Marshawn Lynch is the horse that drives the Seattle Seahawks' offense. Despite the emergence of rookie quarterback Russell Wilson, the offense revolves around the running game and the physical style of Lynch. Lynch has the second-most carries of any running back in the league through 11 weeks, trailing only Houston's Arian Foster. Lynch has 212 carries for 1,005 yards,...

Seahawks DE Red Bryant Misses Practice With Foot Issue

Seahawks defensive end Red Bryant did not practice today because of a foot issue, the only player that did not practice as the team worked outside today. Bryant missed practice with a foot issue the week leading up to the New York Jets game on Nov. 11, but still played on Sunday. After practicing for the first time in over a month as a limited participant on Wednesday, offensive...

Fantasy football forecast – Seattle Seahawks Week 12 NFL Predictions

Start ‘em & Sit ‘em Week 12 Fantasy Football – Seattle Seahawks Week 12 Predictions The Seattle Seahawks emerge from their bye this week and head out onto the road where they have been far less productive than they have at home this year. That’s the bad news. The good news is that they face a Miami Dolphins team that made Buffalo look like a top tier team in all aspects...

Is the east coast curse still present in Seattle?

Seahawks Record against East Coast Teams Doesn’t tell the Whole Story This weekend the Seattle Seahawks travel to Miami to play in the East Coast, a place where they have a well-publicized issue playing; a problem that the team has had since before Mike Holmgren retired. Since the 2008 season, the Seahawks are 1-6 when playing in the East Coast. Records can sometimes be misleading...

Seahawks Relatively Healthy Heading To Week 12

The Seahawks rested up over the bye week and managed to get themselves pretty healthy. James Carpenter and K.J. Wright returning to practice this week and Walter Thurmond is now practicing fully with the team as well. According to Clare Farnsworth over at Seahawks.com's blog James Carpenter continued to work at left guard with the No. 1 offensive line unit today after missing...

Seattle Seahawks at Miami Dolphins: Week 12 NFL Pick

Seattle Seahawks (6-4) at Miami Dolphins (4-6) As I mentioned in the Tennessee/Jacksonville write up, one situation I love betting on is road favorites after a bye. It’s strong for divisional matchups, as teams are 22-3 ATS as divisional road favorites off a bye since 2002, but that trend is still 22-12 ATS for non-divisional matchups and 44-15 ATS overall, so it’s not like it’s...

Seahawks OG James Carpenter Returns To Practice

Offensive guard James Carpenter returned to the field for the first time in four weeks due to a head injury, and was a limited participant in practice today. Running back Marshawn Lynch (back), defensive end Greg Scruggs (oblique), cornerback Byron Maxwell (hamstring), defensive tackle Clinton McDonald (groin) and linebacker K.J. Wright (concussion) were full participants. Every...

Seahawks vs. Miami Dolphins Week 12 gambling odds & handicapping

Seattle vs. Miami Betting? Headline: Seattle Seahawks Take Show on the Road vs. Miami in Week 12 The Seattle Seahawks emerge from their bye this week and head south for an encounter with the Miami Dolphins, a team that looked lackluster to say the least on national television against the Bills last Thursday night. With one of the better runners in the NFL, an emerging passing game...

Philbin: Dolphins' play count telling of offensive struggles

When Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin and offensive coordinator Mike Sherman came to South Beach, they had visions of an up-tempo, fast-moving offense that moved the chains and kept defenses on their heels. Through 11 weeks, Philbin hasn't gotten the results he'd like, and he can pinpoint it to one telling number in the Dolphins' 4-6 campaign. “The thing that I...

Dolphins' season on the line against Seahawks

Two teams seemingly headed in opposite directions will meet in South Beach on Sunday as the 4-6 Miami Dolphins play host to the 6-4 Seattle Seahawks. Seattle is surging as of late and all elements of the team are playing high quality football while the Dolphins enter this matchup following three straight losses and their playoff hopes quickly slipping away. The tilt features...
