Lighting in a bottle, that’s what NFL teams do during free agency. What a player does in one system doesn’t instantly make them great in another. The hottest quarterback prospect this year outside of Peyton Manning is Matt Flynn from the Green Bay Packers, and teams are betting that he’s more magic than myth.
Matt Flynn is this year’s version of Kevin Kolb, a quarterback with limited time on the field, but made the most of it. At 6’2, 220 lbs and with a career total of 82 completions, a 62.1 completion percentage, 1,015 yards, 9 touchdowns and 5 interceptions, Flynn’s resume suggests he could transition into a starter.
