Adam Schefter just blessed us with this little nugget of information, and we felt it only right to share. Unemployed former Raiders quarterback Matt Flynn won the lottery when he got a huge contract from the Seahawks after putting up Tom Brady like numbers in two fill in appearances for Aaron Rodgers. How lucky is Flynn. The weak armed quarterback pocketed more than $14.5 million in two seasons for one start. The 28-year-old former LSU quarterback has a $6.5 million fully guaranteed contract for 2013. That $6.5 million is more than Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, Russell Wilson and Ryan Tannehill will all make this season combine. Andrew Luck $1,394,959 Robert Griffin III $1,394,959 Ryan Tannehill $480,000 Brandon Weeden $757,436 Russell Wilson $526,217 Total $4,553,571 MattFlynn $6,500,000 Friday Blitz: Matt Flynn makes more than Andrew Luck, RGIII, Ryan Tannehill, Russell Wilson – combined. http://t.co/7OEiQOpInu — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) October 11, 2013 Of course the other four quarterbacks are all working on their rookie deals and will make Flynn’s career earnings in one signing bonus. There’s nothing like being an NFL clipboard holder.

Sunday’s Eagles-Buccaneers game could be postponed, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.
The possible delaying of the contest is due to a MRSA outbreak on the Tampa Bay Squad.
Carl Nicks, Lawrence Tynes, and a 3rd unnamed player are the 3 members of the Bucs who have been diagnosed with MRSA. Schefter reports that the NFLPA could advise the teams to postpone the game until the spread...
Twin 102-yard rushing performances. First defeat of the season.
Both quarterback Russell Wilson and running back Marshawn Lynch topped the century mark with their feet against the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday. For such rare and remarkable ground-game productivity, the Seattle Seahawks were rewarded with their first defeat of the 2013 season.
How important is a 100-yard...
Good news, NFL: Your efforts to grow the game overseas are working. Just look at how English soccer hooligans have embraced being Raiders fans.
One such fan got so rowdy on a flight to England, it would make The Black Hole proud. The 52-year-old man, sporting a black Raiders T-shirt, reportedly appeared drunk and began berating other passengers. But the real show began when the...
(I have to head out of town in a few minutes here, so I don't have time to add in analyses for the last few sections of stats. I apologize for that, but I figured it was better to publish now and let you read the parts that are done instead of making you wait until I get home on Saturday (I'll finish it up sometime that afternoon). Until then, I hope you all enjoy the...
Seahawks Fantasy Forecast – Week 6
The Seattle Seahawks finally return home this week to take on the Tennessee Titans in a game that, on paper, looks like a mismatch for the home side.
Last week was a terrific effort but a loss in Indianapolis. Fantasy wise, Seattle was OK in Indy but the Fantasy points were spread out indeed!
This week, expect Seattle’s run-heavy game plan to...
Keys to success
Last week the Seattle Seahawks lost for the first time this season. It wasn’t one of those games where the team was outmatched; it was one of those games where the team was outplayed.
Those losses are the ones that tend to stick with a team and the players.
The real question is whether the Seahawks will use that fire to destroy the Titans on Sunday, or if they...
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie is expected to play on Sunday against the Steelers after hyperextending his knee during practice this past week.

This is certainly great news...
Last Sunday was the biggest letdown since Atlanta in January. Not as big a letdown, no, but it brought us all crashing down to earth nonetheless. Crashing? We glided, let’s say. The signs were there, though. The first half in Houston a week prior to that indicated road fragilities and two particular statistics stand out from last Sunday, one of which should never have contributed...
An outbreak of MRSA at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice facility could cause the postponement of Sunday's Eagles game at Raymond James Stadium.
According to a report, the NFLPA may advise the NFL to postpone the Philadelphia Eagles vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers game due to a MRSA outbreak at the Buccaneers facility pending the results of an MRSA containment report.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, even though Christian Ponder has been cleared to play, Matt Cassel will get the start this week for the Vikings.
Vikings QB Christian Ponder, who fractured his rib, has been cleared to play, but Matt Cassel is Minnesota’s likely starter vs. Carolina.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter mentioned in Wednesday’s mailbag that he’s getting the sense that the Vikings will give Matt Cassel another start against the Panthers.
Meanwhile, Tom Pelissero of USA Today was informed by a Vikings player that Cassel was working with the first-team offense during the team’s walkthrough Wednesday.
Pelissero later added that pecking order for quarterbacks...
Maybe it's not a guarantee that Rob Gronkowski will be back by this week for the Saints game.
The tight end has been struggling to recover from multiple surgeries in the offseason. Mainly on his forearm.
It was reported last week that Gronk may have been rushed into surgery when it wasn't entirely necessary last season. This caused several complications that could weaken...
