Found October 25, 2012 on The Penalty Flag:
Matt Hasselbeck has come to life for the Tennessee Titans. His success should be expected as he has led teams to the playoffs on multiple occasions. He is also a veteran who knows what to expect of defenses and what plays to make off of those reads. As a fan the concern is not for taking him out and replacing him with Locker while the team is winning, it’s a concern for hampering the future of this undetermined team. One thing at the beginning of the season that you could say about this team was that they were going to struggle. They are simply a good team with loads of talent that will struggle because they are so young.… Read more

Chris Johnson is a different kind of running back

The Indianapolis Colts' run defense has been more of a picket fence than a stone wall thus far this season. Through six games, the Colts are giving up over 140 yards per game on the ground, seventh worst in the NFL. Their 4.8 yards per carry allowed is fifth worst.  It's not like the Colts have been facing the NFL's dregs, however. Adrian Peterson, Maurice Jones...

NFL Trade Rumors: Should the Tennessee Titans Trade RB Chris Johnson Now?

The NFL Trade deadline is just six days away, so let the speculation begin. Should the Tennessee Titans trade RB Chris Johnson at the trade deadline this season? A case could be made for and against such a move. Johnson has struggled at times this season and is due a $10 million dollar salary in 2013 and his trade value might never be higher than right now. Johnson came out the starting...

Titans place RB Ringer on IR

Running back Javon Ringer was placed on season-ending injured reserve by the Tennessee Titans with a torn ACL. Chris Johnson's primary backup, Ringer dealt with an infection in his arm earlier this season before suffering the knee injury during a loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He finishes the 2012 season with just two carries for 14 yards. Ringer has 486 career rushing yards...

Chris Johnson still isn't back to his old self

For the first time in a long time, Chris Johnson turned heads this weekend in the Titans' victory over the Buffalo Bills. Johnson resembled the "CJ2K" that we remember in route to 195 rushing yards and two touchdowns. It was a great game, but don't expect that to be the new-old norm for Chris Johnson. Even with his great game, the Titans rank 28th in the league...

Titans place Diles on IR, sign Adibi

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans have signed veteran linebacker Xavier Adibi to the roster and placed linebacker Zac Diles on injured reserve. Diles broke his right leg in last week's 35-34 win over Buffalo in his first start this season. The 6-foot-2, 242-pound Adibi has played in 38 games over four seasons with eight starts. Houston drafted him in the fourth round...

Tom Gower of the Football Outsiders and Total Titans is one of the most insightful and funny writers on the internet. I can honestly say that I would read his work on the Titans even if I didn't have to. If you care at all about football or just good writing, read everything Tom does just on principle. His insightful and measured tweets will both entertain and inform you. He...

QUICK SPIN: Hasselbeck to Get Another Start in Week 8…

All indications are that the aged-one with start in place of Jake Locker for the fourth straight week. It will be interesting to see what the Titans will do if Hasselbeck is able to beat the Colts and bring the Titans to 4-4. While he hasn't exactly posted big fantasy numbers he has been efficient and effective in going 2-1 as a starter.

Buffalo Bills: Week 8 NFL Power Rankings (#24)

Last week: 24 (-4) Record: 3-4 I thoroughly enjoyed last week’s Bills/Titans game between the two worst defenses in the league. Ryan Fitzpatrick and Matt Hasselbeck looked like franchise quarterbacks. Chris Johnson looked like it was 2009. I thought the Bills lost the game in the first half when they settled for a field goal [...]

Week 8 NFL Lines Favoring Eagles Over Falcons, Expect Bears to Maul Panthers

Upon the conclusion of Week 8, a handful of teams will halfway done with their schedules. Pretty crazy, right? Time does fly when you're doing nothing but watching football all fall, and as the clock ticks on the season, games get more and more important each week. This week, there is plenty of jockeying to be done in each division.  Let's get to this...
