Washington Football Team defensive tackle Matt Ioannidis tweeted Friday morning he had successful surgery to repair his torn bicep.
Thank you all for the prayers and support! Surgery went well. God Bless

Ioannidis is out for the rest of the 2020 season. He suffered the injury in the second quarter of Week 3’s loss to the Cleveland Browns.
The lost of Ioannidis could be a huge blow for Washington’s vaunted defensive line. On a defensive line that features five first-round picks, Ioannidis, a fifth-round pick in 2016, is viewed as Washington’s best interior pass rusher.
He led the team with 8.5 sacks in 2019 and had 7.5 in 2018. He had 1.5 sacks this season before getting injured last week.
Ioannidis was in the first year of a three-year $21.75 million extension he signed in 2019. Tim Settle will replace Ioannidis in Washington’s deep defensive line rotation while he is out.
