Every year, the Houston Texans come close to the postseason, and it seems the last couple of seasons have been the years that the Texans finally make the playoffs. This season seemed to be different; there was no Peyton Manning playing for the Colts due to injury leaving the AFC South as the Texan’s division to lose. With the  Tennessee Titans starting over and even with Matt Hasselbeck, nobody deemed the Titans worthy of challenging the Texans. Week 1 started off well with a dominating performance over the Colts, and the Texans began the season 3-1 including an impressive 17 to 10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. After losing Andre Johnson, the Texans then fell to the Oakland Raiders and Baltimore Ravens in consecutive weeks but bounced back in a big way against the Titans as they beat them 41 to 7. They beat Jacksonville, Cleveland and Tampa Bay to put them at a 7-3 record at their bye. Everything seemed to be going great for the Texans, 7-3 and not only on their way to their first playoff appearance in franchise history, but also in contention to host a playoff game as well.
