Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said that linebacker Matt McCoy suffered a serious knee sprain against Atlanta on Sunday and will be out for awhile, but does not need surgery and is expected to return at some point this season. So the team at this point does not anticipate placing him on the season-ending, injured reserve list. “He got a significant knee sprain that it’s going to be awhile before he gets back,” Carroll said about McCoy. “It doesn’t look like he needs surgery at this time, but it’s a significant sprain, and he’s going to out for awhile.” […]Read more »
