QB Matt Schaub and Houston Texans were sitting on top of the world close to end of the regular season. Then things suddenly changed, and they found themselves backing into the playoffs and walking into a another right cross from the New England Patriots, the team who started their demise in the first place.

  • It is frustrating to watch the football fans of Houston get screwed decade after decade. Now we have a guy labeled QB and
unable to get the ball past the twenty yard line and is relying
on the kicker to carry him and the HC to victory. What happened
to the young QB from last year that did so well while Schaub
    was nursing the hangnail.
  • Bring in TJ Yates.......Schaub is the problem of this team,he's just not an Elite QB and that's what Houston needs to take it to the next Level,an Elite QB,that will....RUN the BALL if needed !!!
  • this is typical houston football just not the same owner. We have exceptional players than we trade them or release them. We have a so so QB that cannot run and we keep him and let him start. If he cant run when needed than he gets to stay. This sounds like the Houston Oilers all over again. I wish I could do that poorly in my job and keep it even though I make A whole lot less and have to work all year instead of A few months. Its only A game which I used to enjoy watching, now I get aggrevated and turn off the T.V. and read a book.Play up to the pay or get out,If that means Kubiak has to go also so be it.
  • Well...I still think Kubiak has to go...the fact that he's backin' Schaub just shows me that he's not watching the same game as the Houston fans...Houston deserves better!!!
  • Schaub is one of the most boring QB to watch. There was a game where Katy HS played better than the Texans. It was pathetic to watch. Matt Schaub at best should be a backup QB...SMH. It appears that Houston is ok with mediocrity.

Texans coach still supports QB Schaub

Matt Schaub is in the Pro Bowl this year. That means less now than it before they scheduled the Pro Bowl such that the Super Bowl participants couldn't make it, and it means even less for Schaub now than it did when he made it in 2009. Schaub threw for more than 4,000 yards this season and led the Texans to the AFC South championship. But he played poorly enough in the playoffs...

Houston Texans Sign Two Quarterbacks

The Houston Texans signed eight players to reserve/future contracts, the team announced Thursday. Barring injury, the Texans’ starting signal-caller next year will almost certainly be Matt Schaub.  Even if backup quarterback T.J. Yates shines all spring and summer, it’s almost set in stone that he will be the No. 2 QB on the team in 2013. However, it looks like a quarterback...
